On the Ministry of Commerce initiatives a draft of Electronic Commerce Act and Electronic Commerce Support Act has been prepared to facilitate a secure regulatory environment for Electronic Commerce which is hosted herewith. An initiative in this regard has also been taken at the level of Deptt. of Electronics which is also available on their web. Both these draft bills have been sent to Law Ministry for adoption and it is understood that a comprehensive single act is being worked out by them integrating the inputs of both the drafts. The revised document would be placed for necessary parliamentary approvals. Though the said drafts are under consideration, the original draft is hosted on the web for comments and wider dissemination.
