Here is how I was taken for a ride by a big cell operator. I wonder
how many of U are also getting cheated daily! Read the message that
follows fully and take care.

Read fully if U don't want to get cheated!
They just deduct from your prepaid for services not asked for & without
authorization. Suddenly u find your talktime has taken a steep fall even
if U did not use telephone at all! If U try customercare, it is a real
pain in the neck and at the end of it all, U get aerror message. So I
tried at an authorized airtell dealer in Mysore where I purchased and
recharged. I made 5 pilgrimages to this shop and everytime I had to tell
the whole story all over again.
There is no system of recording complaint; they don't give a complaint
number and finally I got the answer that Rs 60/ was deducted for some
Multimedia service and some for some "CTRG" or some such thing and another
for missed call id, which was thrust on me and I had requested
discontinuation, I believe late by a day or 2, and hence chargeable for
the whole month.
Then I made them disconnect all these additional chargeable services and
watched the available time in rupees daily, one rupee being deducted
daily.
Then suddenly, without making any outgoing calls, a steep fall of Rs 12-
13.
Now I am again making regular calls to their office to seek explanation. I
expect that they will say I asked for some services and for that they have
charged me! I have deliberately and consciously not made any calls
and not asked for anything like ringtones etc.
If U don't want to get cheated, make it a habbit of keeping records and if
U find some cheating, which I am sure U will, there is nothing much U can
do!
I wonder, from our esteemed members, which cellular service is most
economical and above all , which does not cheat.
If anyone cheats, use the powerful Internet to spread this information to
avoid these Cheaters!
