It is three years since ITA-2000 became law in India and it is more than an year since digital Certificates have also become available.
However, the spread of information about the use of Digital Signatures is still so low that neither the Corporate sector nor the Government sector has fully exploited the potential of Digital Signatures.
With a view to spread awareness of Digital Signatures, Naavi, is conducting an unique Online Training Programme on Digital Signatures.
This is a first of the kind Virtual Training Programmes to be conducted in India.
Objectives:
The objective of the programme is
1. To Understand "What Is a Digital Signature?
2. What are the legal aspects covering Digital Signatures in India
3. How To Use Digital Signatures on Electronic Documents?Methodology:
The Course will be covered over three days using E-Mail and Chat as follows.
1. After registration each participant will be sent a copy of the Background Material 1 through E-Mail
2. Each Participant will be invited for a Chat session with Naavi for one hour to discuss the contents of Background Material1 during which doubts if any would be discussed.
3. The above procedure would be repeated for next two sets of background materials.

At the end of the Course, the participants will also be entitled to a copy of the e-book "Cyber Laws in India..ITA-2000 and Beyond" for free download and password. (The market price of the book is RS 300/-)
Registration Process and Fee:
All registrants should fill up the registration form a copy of which is available here and mail it to Naavi. They will receive a confirmation of registration after which they have to complete the payment of the registration fee.
The Registration fee for the course is RS 500/- to be paid either online by buying Navvi's Payment Receipt for RS 500/- (Use 5 NPRs of Rs 100 each) using a credit card at http://www.naavi.org/n_p_c/nprc/index.htm
Those who cannot use online payment can send the registration fees through DD favouring Ujvala Consultants Private Ltd payable at Chennai and mailed to 11/10, R E Apartments, Unnamalai Ammal Streeet, T.Nagar, Chennai, 600017.
Schedule:
The course is scheduled will be held between October 30th to Novemebr 2nd.
15 registrations on first cum first served basis alone will be accepted.
Chat session timing will be individually advised to the registrants and will be in batches between 7.00 pm to 8.00pm, 8.30 pm to 9.30pm and 10.30 pm to 11.30 pm.
Registrants prefering a particular slot may indicate their preference at the time of registration.
In case the chat sessions fail due to any technical reasons such as power failure etc, it will be rescheduled.
Not More than 5 members will be accepted for each batch. Interested persons are requested to send their registrations immediately to enable them register the above dates.
